About UsBinadu Brilliant Reader's (B2R) Breathless Performers is a unique after-school program that is growing into a rewarding and accomplished program over the course of 3 years. Our goal is to create a safe, positive, healthy and fun environment for Wettengalians through performance arts and learning. If you have additional questions please contact us by clicking here.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
Breathless Performers program hours are 3:15PM-5:15 PM. Students will meet-up at the library before we head into the stage area either in the outdoor stage or the cafeteria. If you are dropping off your child, then please remain on site until your child enters the building safely.
Afternoon attendance procedures commence at 3:15pm. Students who arrive after cause program staff to backtrack in the daily process of departure, putting the whole group behind. Unfortunately, we cannot wait for late students when departing for daily activities. Please be prompt! Finally, to properly ensure your children’s safety, we take special precautions in releasing them from our programs. We reserve the right to only release students to an adult who has been approved in writing on the Membership Form by that student’s custodial parent or guardian and who shows a photo ID. |
Activities at the Stage
A few examples of program components for Breathless Performers include vocal exercises, physical exercises, arts and crafts, and themed programs. B2R staff will maintain supervision and care of students in these circumstances. Please contact the Wettengel Librarian with any questions about program activities.
Goals of the Performers Experience
The mission of the B2R book club of Wettengel is to enable all children, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, and responsible citizens. Breathless Performers do so by enabling cooperative role play experiences. We, at B2R, work to ensure that students feel a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence and competence while at the stage. Furthermore, it is our goal to help them learn to make positive behavior choices, value citizenship and stewardship and to respect themselves and others. We hope that students will have fun, learn awesome feats, take social risks in a safe environment and become more confident as a growing person!
Parent Involvement
It is crucial that you be an active part of your student’s experience at the B2R. Again, we strive to provide a safe and positive experience for your children and to encourage social development and group process. And so, we feel that this is best accomplished through a close and cooperative relationship with the community and you as a parent. To do so, we simply encourage you to voice any concerns to our administrative (librarian) or staff to further help us in meeting your child’s needs.
